Starting and Progress

Alright. This isn't about how to start a race or any sort of track or racing information post.

I'm not a coach. I don't have it. Check the interwebs. They might. Or, maybe ask me what you're looking for. Maybe I can write something up and see what we can do to help each other learn something.

Anyway, this post is about where I started and where I am and then, ultimately, where I want to be.

I'm not going to go too far back for this. There is too much and it would all bore you to tears. So, let's start from ~1 month ago.

September 20, 2013 (past)

Weight: 221.6 lbs.
Waist: 43.3"
Average Pace: 12'20"

October 17, 2013 (present...well, currently)

Weight: 220.2 lbs.
Waist: 41.3"
Average Pace: 10'36"

December 17, 2013 (future)

Weight: 210
Waist: 38"
Average Pace: 9'30"

So these are the numbers. I'm looking at my weight and thinking that I am headed the wrong way, but that number is a tad deceptive. Mostly because between then and now I put on 5-7 pounds from sitting around doing nothing and have run it all off. So I feel okay with that especially given that my waist has dropped 2".  That's a bigger sign of progress anyway. As for the running, I'm not saying my pace has to be EXACTLY 9 minutes and 30 seconds, but something close would be nice. I'm shooting for it and working for them so I'm bound to make progress, right?

Of course, The work outside has to be matched with some quality fuel on the inside. I mean, what's the point of all the running if I'm just going to eat a bunch of fast food and crap to cover it all up. Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Look for some recipes coming up and possible food porn.

Who doesn't love food?
